PCB-based Inverter Platforms

Creative Power has a range of printed circuit board based inverter power stages. These platforms are designed to provide a reduced system development time as they interface with standard CPT controllers.

The standard on-card power stages range from 300VA to 2.5kVA and are available as single to four phase leg options.

Creative Power designs and manufactures custom power stage boards to meet specific customer requirements. These custom power stages have ranged from 100VA to 15kW on circuit boards to 100kW+ using external bus bar arrangements.

CPT-IPS2F - 2kW to 2.5kW Single Phase Filtered Power Stage

CPT-IPS4

The CPT-IPS4 is a single phase inverter power stage rated at 5A, 400VDC mounted onto a single circuit board. The board is designed to directly interface with a CPT-DFM2 controller board for both gate driver and analog measurements.

The board also contains on-card LCL filter and a LEM current measurement module.

The heatsinking arrangements are flexible and can be adjusted to suit the available mechanical space.

CPT-IPS4L - 300VA 4 Phase Leg Power Stage

CPT-IPS4L

The CPT-IPS4L is a four-phase inverter power stage rated at 48VDC, 5A mounted onto a single circuit board. The board contains on-card gate drivers and conditioned analog circuitry.

It is designed to interface directly with TTL Level gate driver signals as found on the CPT-R09 and CPT-R19 controller boards.

CS-IIB

The CS-IIB was a popular, flexible, low voltage, 4-phase leg integrated inverter that was used for a range of end user applications where design of a custom solution was not financially feasible. The CS-IIB supported up to 2kW output.

The board had an on-card FET/IGBT based 4-phase leg power stage many digital and analog conditioned signals to enable full operation, including off-card communications or a front panel LCD and keyboard. The board operated with a plug-in CS-MiniDSP or CPT-Mini2810 processor card, as a standalone system.

CS-IIC

The CS-IIC was a custom low voltage, low power, 4-phase leg integrated inverter system that was modified from CS-IIB as a low cost design change to enable a customer to have a 600W on-card power system in a slightly smaller footprint than the CS-IIB. The heatsink for this board was just an aluminium bar as the final application required a single low height simple inverter platform.

The board had an on-card FET/IGBT based 4-phase leg power stage many digital and analog conditioned signals to enable full operation, including off-card communications or a front panel LCD and keyboard. The board operated with a plug-in CS-MiniDSP or CPT-Mini2810 processor card, as a standalone system.
