DA Series Cards

DFCC

The DA Series provides a modular, flexible integrated inverter controller platform. The core MCU platforms use various Texas Instruments Microcontrollers. The power of these Microcontrollers is combined with a flexible motherboard and peripheral card range to produce an overall inverter platform.

The DA Series Control Cards interface directly to DA Series Motherboards and this combination provides the inputs and outputs necessary to directly drive power electronic power stages. The range of DA Series motherboards support operation with IGBT, MOSFET and Thyristor devices.

The use of multiple cards allows the functionality of the DA Series card stacks to be tailored to specific applications.

Microcontroller Control Cards

The DA Series Control Cards are based around Texas Instruments’ proven Microcontroller cores, to provide reliable, stable glitch-free operation within a power electronic environment. There are cards that support the TMS320F281x, TMS320F2803x and the Delfino TMS320F2837xS and TMS320F2837xD Microcontrollers.

All DA Series Control Cards have an 80 way header that connects to the DA Series Motherboards. The Control cards also support a Peripheral Cards with a range of isolated communications interfaces. The Control Card enables boards stacking to provide a higher volume density.

The DA Series platforms are suitable for both prototype and production use. Each card is available with plug-in headers for prototype development and in a direct solder form for production. This minimises any rework when moving to production.

The interconnect structures used with the DA Series have been used for inverter control within harsh vibrational and thermal cycling environments, such as railway rolling stock.
